• Run day-to-day FinOps operations, including cost data integration, dashboard management, daily cost analysis, anomaly investigation, and reporting;
• Build AI-leveraged analytics for cost visibility, ROI, unit economy, trend health, and optimization research across the vendor surface;
• Drive cost allocation and attribution down to the domain and feature level;
• Manage chargeback, per-team cost reporting, and financial accountability;
• Productize resource utilization and rightsizing by turning ad-hoc analysis into continuous recommendations for owning teams;
• Build cost-control guardrails for high-volatility spend categories, particularly AI services.

• Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure), with a preference for GCP;
• Strong SQL skills, including writing analytical queries on large datasets;
• Experience with modern BI or data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI;
• Proficiency in Python for automation, data analysis, and integration;
• AI build literacy, including experience wiring LLMs into analytical pipelines;
• Ability to investigate cost anomalies and form working hypotheses quickly;
• Self-directed approach to proposing and executing research;
• Nice to have: Kubernetes knowledge, Terraform or other IaC experience, FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification, prior experience with large-scale cloud environments.
